New Look
Hey all. Hopefully you’re noticing a new look here at Future Majority. Thanks to the design inspiration of Jon Berger, we’ve got a fresh face.
There are probably some things to fix, so feel free to use this thread as a place to post feedback. If you see something broken, please post the full URL, as well as telling us what browser you use, including the version number.
In addition to the new design, we’re feeding in YouTube videos and fresh content from some of our favorite blogs. There’s more to come, but I hope you all enjoy the new look and feel.

Thanks and recommends
Many thanks to Jon Berger and also Josh, for staying up late and coding all of this the past week. The new site is awesome.
In addition to noting bugs, we’re also looking for recommendations. If you know of a really great YouTube channel that does political satire or some other creative video work that’s relevant to young voters and politics, let us know and we’ll add them to the video feed.
Ditto the breaking news feed. If there are blogs that you think would add to this list either in substance (news, best practices, etc) or spirit (like Wonkette), let us know in the comments and we’ll consider adding them into the mix.
Alternately, if you think the ones we have suck, let us know (and maybe give some constructive criticism as to why and what you’d rather see).
I also wanted to point out that we added more content on the sidebar. You can now find direct links to Studies documenting best practices in turning out young voters, turnout and registration numbers for the last 3 election (and further), and a Blogroll as well. If you’ve got a youth blog or see that we’re leaving someone out, let us know. The purpose is to grow the list so that FM offers a comprehensive look at the progressive youth movement.
bravo
don’t have a lot of time to look around, but it looks great everyone. Nice work.
Cheers to everyone involved… this was a much-needed makeover.

inspiration & credit due
Nice to see the new design go live!
It’d be a crime not to acknowledge [[http://www.designobserver.com/|Design Observer]]; we borrowed heavily from their site design and organization. They’re the best at what they do, and if we’re going to copy, we’re going to copy from the best.
nice job
nice job guys. Mike, looks like you got that logo after all … .;)
Problems
You’ve got some major problems with this new design in the Safari web browser. The text from the left column is hidden by the sidebar on the right. You’ll want to look into this asap…the site is unreadable for me now. Might I suggest checking out how it looks on www.browsershots.org.
Works from here?
Is your screen really narrow? Are you somehow running an outdated version of Safari? It works for me from here.
Browser shots also look fine.
Narrow screen
I keep my screen at about 800px wide. When I do, the sidebar overlays on the main text and comments, instead of the text repositioning itself. Either way, this is a problem. See what my screen looks like at http://www.theseminal.com/wp-content…
