Benkler on Social and Collaborative Technology
Yochai Benkler is a theorist at Harvard whose work centers on the information economy and the internet. His book, The Wealth of Networks, is a theoretical monster, but it's also probably the best description out there as to how the web is changing our economy, culture, politics, science, and every aspect of how we share and create information, knowledge and culture.
If you don't feel like reading 300 pages of theory, then watch this video. You won't regret it. This is important.
